Cyberspace- The use of computer technology to create virtual space. The space in which computer transactions occur. The electronic
medium of computer networks, in which online communication takes place.
Blog- An online diary; a personal log of thought published on a Webpage. To write down entries of thoughts online and add to it as thoughts occur.
Educational
Technology- Technology that aids the teaching and learning process. The study and ethical practice of assisting learning and improving performance by
creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.
Hypertext
Markup Language (HTML)- The basic language that people use to build hypertext
electronic documents on the Web. This is the basic format for language and multimedia
documents that is used to construct the World Wide Web.
URL
(Uniform Resource Locator)- A site address on the World Wide Web. For example, the URL for the California State University home page is http://www.csun.edu. An address that
identifies a particular file on the Internet.
Wildcard- A symbol that stands for one or more unspecified characters, used especially in searching
text and in selecting multiple files or directories.
World
Wide Web- An internet service that enables users to navigate the Internet
using hypertext documents. The complete set of electronic
documents stored on computers that are connected over the Internet and are made available by the protocol known as HTTP. The
World Wide Web makes up a large part of the Internet.
